FGO-Barbara is a cultural centre in Paris supporting the emerging music scene. This venue is home to a variety of spaces such as concert halls, rehearsal and recording studios, activity rooms and a bar. Built in the early 2000s on the outskirts of the very cosmopolitan La Goutte d’Or district, this venue was crying out for a facelift and for its spaces to be redesigned to suit more modern requirements, making them more modular in particular. This renovation project was led by the architect Clémence Torrente, running alongside the refurbishment of Les 3 Baudets, another Paris-based cultural venue.
The desire to install modular furniture with a sustainable approach meant that the Matière Grise collections were a natural choice. The Batchairs come in a cheerful range of bright colours, perfect for adding vibrant splashes that contrast with the black and white geometric floor and tables in the lobby.
